Industry Relations – National Conference
1. National Conference on “Current Scenario in Industrial Relations”
B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology (BSACIST) – Career Development Centre & Industry Relations, in collaboration with Tamil Nadu Institute of Labour Studies (TILS) successfully hosted the National Conference on “Current Scenario in Industrial Relations” on 30 April 2024, gathering leading minds to explore the topic in the Auditorium, Convention Center , BSACIST.
The inaugural event was graced by Mr. Khaja Sheriff, HOD of Madras University, Mr. Thirunavukkarasu, Former Principal and Director of RKM Vivekananda College, along with TILS Director Mrs. G. Sasikala, TILS Professor HOD Dr. R. Ramesh Kumar and Dr. Ganesh K, Director Career Development Centre & Industry Relations, BSACIST.
Fifteen research scholars presented their papers as part of the National conference.
The next event was a debate in which various leaders from trade unions and HR representatives from various industries participated.
This was followed by the TILS HR Wellness Awards 2024 Valedictory function, where Add Chief Secretary – Govt. of TN Mr. Kumar Jayant IAS and Commissioner DOTE – Govt. of TN Mr. K Veera Raghava Rao IAS graced the occasion as Chief Guests. Various awards like Best Human Resource Leader of the Year, Best CEO of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Awards and Industry Institute Best Practice Award were presented during the event. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Mr. N.R. Mani, Corporate Head of Industry Relations at TVS and the Industry Institute Best Practice Award was presented to Dr. Ganesh.K, Director, Career Development Centre & Industry Relations, BSACIST.
We were honored to have many leading speakers from various fields sharing their insights and expertise on the topic, which added immense value to the discussions, inspiring the attendees.
Industry Relations – Seminar/Webinar
1. Training Session on “Personality Development” for Female students
Industry Relations in association with Procter & Gamble conducted a Training Session on “Personality Development” for Female students on 30 Aug 2023 from 11.00 am to 12.40 pm in the Seminar Hall 1, Convention centre. The session was conducted by a professional life-skills trainer Ms Sharmila, via a video presentation.
2. Industry Conclave & Release of Newsletter
Industry Relations organized an “Industry Conclave 5.0” on 17 Aug 2023 from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm in the Auditorium for our 3rd & 4th yr. B.Tech students from CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, EIE and 3 yr. students from BSc CS & BCA.

Industry Relations organized a Webinar on “Build your own Generative AI Model” virtually on 7th October 2023, 10:30 AM.

In today’s rapidly evolving world, the importance of artificial intelligence cannot be overstated. As students prepare to graduate and enter the workforce, it is increasingly likely that AI technologies, such as Generative AI, will play a significant role in students career. This webinar was an opportunity for students to get ahead of the curve and gain valuable skills in this cutting-edge field.
4. Webinar on “An introduction to the world of investments” | by NSE Academy
Industry Relations organized a Webinar on “An introduction to the world of investments – An Investor Awareness Initiative” virtually on 7th October 2023 at 1.00 pm.
NSE Academy conducted a student Awareness program for understanding Financial Market and navigating the world of personal finances.

“Skill-A-Thon 2024” self-learning program, a pioneering initiative by ICT Academy in association with UiPath.
Skill-A-Thon 2024 is a platform for students to build bots and showcase their creativity and technical prowess.

1. Industry visit | Chennai Forge Products Pvt. Ltd
Industry Relations in association with Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an Industry visit for our 3rd yr. B.Tech Mechanical students (Batch 1 & 2 of 40 students each) who visited Chennai Forge Products Pvt. Ltd on 10 Aug 2023 & 17 Aug 2023 at 10.30 am.
The visit was aimed at providing students with an opportunity to gain practical knowledge about the manufacturing of automotive parts using forging process and Vertical milling machine (VMM).
Mechanical students has the opportunity to understand the manufacturing process and interact with industry experts.
2. Industry visit | HCLTech, Sholinganallur
Industry Relations in association with Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized an Industry visit for our 3rd yr. B.Tech ECE students (A & B Sections) who visited HCLTech Sholinganallur campus on 4 Oct 2023 at 10.30 am.
3. Industry visit | Genesys
Industry Relations in association with Department of Information Technology organized an Industry visit for our 3rd yr. B.Tech IT students who visited Genesys on 5 Oct 2023 at 10.30 am.
The students visited each department in Genesys during the Industrial Visit and were explained about the importance of product development. Some fun activities for the students like quizzes was conducted by Genesys and prizes were issued to the winners.
4. Industry visit | UmagineTN 2024, Chennai Trade Centre, Ramapuram
UmagineTN, is Asia’s premier Engagement platform for Technology, Entrepreneurs & Talent.
Industry Relations organized an Industry visit for our students to UmagineTN 2024 at Chennai Trade Centre, Ramapuram, Nandambakkam, Chennai on 23 Feb 2024 between 10.30 am to 2.30 pm. 41 students and 2 faculty members from our institute participated in this event. Students had the opportunity to interact with Industry experts.
5. Industry visit | for selected 7 CSE students to Prodapt
Prodapt – is the largest and fastest-growing specialized company in the Connectedness domain. Industry Relations organized an Industry visit for selected 7 CSE students from the 2025 pass out batch to spend a day with Prodapt at the Prodapt Headquarters in Guindy, Chennai on Friday, the 26th of April 2024 from 11:00 am to 5 pm. For the first time, a company showed interest in understanding a student’s expectations regarding their dream company and work environment. “Date with Prodapt” was a Student-Corporate meet where both parties shared their points of view and expectations about each other.
6. Industry Powered Faculty Development Programs by Cognizant & Virtusa
Industry Relations organized Industry Powered Faculty Development Programs by Cognizant & Virtusa for our faculty.
A) Cognizant
Dr S Peer Mohamed Ziyath, Assistant Professor from Computer Applications department participated in this Faculty Enrichment Program – Tech Immersive workshop for developing enterprise level code. (Digital Nurture – Reverence Faculty Enrichment Program 2023) and received his “Certificate of Participation” from our Hon Vice Chancellor on 23 April 2023 at 12.30 pm.
B) Virtusa
Dr A Haja Alaudeen, Asst. Professor from Computer Applications department participated in this Faculty Development Program Train on Full Stack Engineering held during Oct & Nov 2021 and received his “Certificate of Participation” from our Hon Vice Chancellor on 23 April 2023 at 12.30 pm.
7. International Immersion, Internship and Student Group Study Exchange Programme 2023-2024
Industry Relations organized an International Immersion, Internship and Student Group Study Exchange Programme to Malaysia by Audacious Dreams Foundation for our students from 25th March to 31st March 2024.
The following students had visited Malaysia and received their “International Certificates of Appreciation” from our Hon Vice Chancellor on 23 April 2023 at 12.30 pm.

8. 2-Day Residential Training Program on Experiential Learning by BOSCH
Industry Relations in collaboration with BOSCH organized a 2-Day Residential Training Program on Experiential Learning on 29th and 30th April 2024 between 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Chennai Mount Olive OBT. Dr. S M Wasiullah, Assistant Professor, Crescent School of Business had participated in this BOSCH Training Program from BSACIST. This immersive training program, where the participants deep dived into the principles and practices of experiential learning and activities-based learning. Through a combination of hands-on activities, interactive workshops, and collaborative discussions, participants where provided with practical strategies and techniques to enhance the training delivery and engage their learners effectively.

Industry Relations is glad to announce that our student Mr Mohammed Aamir – BTech ECE – 3rd yr was the Regional Finalist of ICT Youth Talk 2023 and came in the Top 10 in Chennai Regional finals – organized by ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu on 3 October 2023, at Chennai Institute of Technology.
